Deckart
Deckart’s funky brand of broken beats and electro have has earned him legendary status in his native city of Berlin. He’s got a unique combination of cold and warm styles with a bit of booty, like a slap in your face with a warm leatherette and a torrid kiss afterwards.
The man’s motto ‘break me baby’ is certainly worth a broke Bladerunner. Since no Replicant has achieved to break him yet, rumour goes that Deckart is a Replicant himself. He certainly has survived drum n bass with a track included on a UK compilation in the early days of his career (the first German drum n bass tune to make a UK comp). Later on, he moved onto 2 Step, as one of the protagonists of ‘Fab Factory’, Berlin’s famous and release-happy Garage crew. He still puts out breakbeat records from time to time - latest release: ‘Supa!’, a collaboration with supa star ‘Circuit Breaker’ on Money Shot Recordings, Canada. Deckart is also in the artist roster of Coop Entertainment Berlin.
